I came to you from Ukraine, a country of 48 million that is now known and respected throughout the world, a country whose people have demonstrated their deep desire for freedom and democracy, for a European economic and political system.

I am thrilled that so many of your are here today, that you are interested in Ukraine and wish to become involved in helping solve our difficult economic and cultural problems. There is a tremendous amount of work to be done.
