Dear presidium! Dear people’s deputies!

I am glad to be present here today. So will you spare me some time to listen to my speech on several issues having a direct bearing on you.

Debates have been going on in Ukraine for two weeks on the topic of what one ought to eat and drink in order to survive in this country.

As long as my good name is in question, and I have been involved in these incidents, I would like to draw your attention for several minutes. I wouldn’t discuss some personal points but I will mention them to appeal to the facts.

Look at my face and listen to my articulation – this is a hundredth of that problem I had. Take care to avoid such danger! Today’s topic is not just cuisine, as someone is trying to interpret it.

Don’t jump to a conclusion, dear friends. I would like to ask each of 450 present deputies: Have you ever seen me drunk over the last 10 or 20 years? Raise your hands.

I am addressing the journalists of the «Inter», the so-called «National channel», «1+1» TV channels and other channels’ «heralds»: «When have I been out of control?» Still you have no such facts and if you do – make them public. I am not a fan of eastern or western cuisine. I eat borshch, potatoes and salo, as you and millions of Ukrainians do. And what happened to me is not a problem of cuisine but a problem of the political regime in Ukraine.

Unfortunately, San Sanych (Oleksandr Moroz) is absent today, since I would like to tell him that he can eat potatoes and salo as much as he likes. Still he won’t be saved by «potato diet» the moment he becomes a real opponent – I am pointing out the «real opponent» - of the government, hence, he will be taken out of «Medvedchuk’s dance line.» I am so sorry to tell this.

Dear Stepan Bohdanovych Havrysh! You are now through hard political time, as the so-called presidential majority, due to which you have earned a reputation for yourself, is being collapsed now. I just want to say that the moment you are out of favour with this regime and pose just a little threat to the government, you’ll be junked like a used paper, and your fish diet won’t help you.

I am addressing the fellows from the Presidential Administration, who advise to wash down each slice of salo with one hundred grams of vodka. Boys, notwithstanding the fact that you are from the opposed camp, still your camp is following such moral principles that you will be given the boot, as well as Khoroshkovskyi, Volkov and dozens of others were. And one hundred grams of vodka after each slice of salo will be of no use to you.

And dear friends, today the case in point is not just a cuisine but a political cuisine with killings on the menu. Who are the killers?

Speaking about murders I would like to tell who is the killer in this country with great pleasure. So let’s look back. Do you remember Vadym Petrovych Hetman working here in1998? Who killed him? President Kuchma pledged it was his matter of honour, and the Prosecutor General would find the killers, still there is no answer. In 1999 Vyacheslav Chornovil used to walk there, so who killed him due to car accident with KamAZ? Don’t we know the killers? And in 2000 Gongadze was making political report on that balcony, so who beheaded him? Don’t we know? However one prosecutor said that the killer had been found, the second one said that his name starts with «K» but lacked courage to call his full name. Two and a half years ago Oleh Oleksenko used to work here, so who poisoned him? Four weeks ago Alik Aslanov was alive, who had bought one liter of gasoline for seven and a half hryvnyas, having got into his last debt, and committed self-immolation. Who killed him? A drunkard, head of local administration, who is the SD(U)PU member or a self-complacent head of collective farm? Who killed him?

Don’t ask who is next – each of us. And if you ask me how I happened to survive it, I will answer: it was just an underdose and untimely hour, since my guardian angels were not asleep then.

So let’s draw important two lessons from this. Number one. I believe that legal response ought to be provided regarding the latest developments. Still you are quite aware of the killer. The government is the killer. And the present Prosecutor General will never answer who killed Gongadze, Hetman, and who made an attempt on many others’ lives. So I was surprised at having learned about the order to launch an investigation into the case of my poisoning. I don’t trust this Prosecutor General. What conclusions have they reached? You won’t answer the questions posed by you.

We should learn a political lesson. And political lesson is that…Leonid Makarovych Kravchuk suggests kneeling down before the Ukrainian people. Leonid Makarovych, who must kneel? And one will have to be kneeling for a long time to be granted the pardon of each of 47 million people. However I suggest something else. I am addressing you, my dear people’s deputies. Perform a small feat now, today, this very moment. Start getting off your knees a centimeter a day as did the Agrarian Party, as is doing a part of the NDP faction and the «Center» faction. There are a lot more healthy and smart people here. Perform this feat for the sake of Ukraine, and you will see a democratic state with free and prosperous people. Please, remember this second lesson to be safe.

Thank you for your time and your attention.
